Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has lifted the curtain on his pre-match rituals, sharing some of the routines he follows before stepping onto the pitch.

Osimhen revealed that he often tunes into tracks by Olamide, Nas, and Damian Marley to get himself in the zone before a match.

The Super Eagles forward made this known during an interview with the Smallie YouTube Channel.

He said, “Growing up, I already had it in my mind that football is what I want to do.

“Most of the time, I listen to Olamide. I also listen to Nas and Damian Marley; Strong Will continues to motivate me.

“It’s really a motivating song for me when I’m going for a match, so these have been a few of my rituals.

“My favourite Olamide song to listen to before a match is King Shit: ‘Don’t worry about tomorrow, forget your sorrow, forget about the shoes and clothes you borrowed.’”

Victor Osimhen, the Galatasaray striker, has come a long way since his early days in Nigeria. Starting his career with the renowned Wolves Academy in Kaduna, Osimhen’s raw talent quickly caught attention, leading him to make a mark in European football. He made his breakthrough with Wolfsburg in Germany before moving to French side Lille, where his goalscoring prowess earned him a high-profile transfer to Napoli.

Now donning the Galatasaray jersey, Osimhen’s journey is a testament to hard work and passion. From local pitches to the big leagues, the Nigerian forward continues to impress, blending his footballing skills with a touch of personality – like his pre-match music rituals.
