Delta gov condoles Ndidi on father’s death

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended his condolences to Super Eagles Captain, Wilfred Ndidi, following the death of his father, Sunday Ndidi.

Recall that the deceased, a retired military officer, died in a fatal road accident on Tuesday in Umunede, Ika North East Local Government Area of the state.

He was reported to have been rushed to a hospital in Agbor, where he was later confirmed dead

In a statement issued Wednesday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described his father’s passing as sudden, painful, and a huge loss to the Ndidi family, Umunede community, and Ika Nation.

Oborevwori extended his heartfelt condolences to Wilfred, members of the bereaved family, and the people of Umunede, urging them to take solace in the impactful life and legacies of the deceased.

“The tragic incident has drawn widespread sympathy, including Wilfred Ndidi’s club, and Besiktas, which confirmed the development in a statement released on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle.”

Oborevwori prayed that God grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and the soul of the departed eternal rest.
