Ibrahim Adam, Special Adviser on Information to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has confirmed Buba Galadima’s removal as Chairman of Kano State Polytechnic’s Governing Council, effective February 14, 2026.

The confirmation was shared by Adam on his Facebook page on Friday evening, accompanied by images of the appointment and termination letters pertaining to Galadima.

According to Adam, the removal was based purely on performance issues.

He stated, “While everyone is entitled to their opinion, it is important to state that his removal was based purely on performance issues, particularly concerns about massive incompetence and his inability to diligently discharge the responsibilities of the office.”

He emphasised the importance of accountability in public service.

He added, “Public service is a trust, and when expectations are not met, the government has a duty to act in the best interest of the institution and the people.”

Adam also wished Galadima well in his future endeavors.

“We wish him well in his future endeavors.”

The statement comes amid recent public attacks by Galadima on the Kano State Government, which Adam suggested were linked to his removal from office.

Recall that Galadima recently allegedly accused governor Yusuf of using the DSS to silence opposition’s voices.
