Renowned Nigerian musician, Damini Ogulu, known better as Burna Boy, has issued a passionate plea to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to take concrete action to address the country’s crippling challenges, rather than relying on rhetoric.
Taking to Facebook on Wednesday, Burna Boy expressed the frustration and desperation that many Nigerians are feeling, citing the deplorable state of roads, erratic power supply, and the struggles of everyday life.
The singer also shared a picture of himself and President Tinubu suspected to be AI-generated.
“No good road. No steady light. Even mechanic wey suppose fix motor sef na struggle,” Burna Boy wrote in pidgin English, painting a vivid picture of a nation in distress.
“Sometimes e be like say nothing good dey come out from Nigeria again. Living for this country fit make person feel like say na survival mode every day,” the singer added.
The Grammy-winning artist emphasised that Nigerians are tired of empty promises and long speeches, and are instead craving tangible solutions to their problems.
“Mr President, Nigerians no need long speech again. Na action we dey wait for. Fix the roads. Fix the light. Fix the system,” he implored.
Burna Boy’s post is a stark reminder of the growing discontent among Nigerians, who are struggling to make ends meet amidst the harsh economic realities.
“Patience for the streets don dey run low. Na the truth be that,” he warned, underscoring the urgent need for the government to act swiftly to address the country’s pressing challenges.
