The All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked a report circulating in sections of the media alleging the existence of an approved price list for expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka on Saturday, the ruling party described the report as false, misleading, and lacking any official backing.

The party clarified that no decision has been taken regarding the sale or pricing of nomination forms for the 2027 elections, stressing that the information being circulated did not originate from any authorised organ of the APC.

“The report is fake and a figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination,” the statement said, firmly rejecting the claims.

The APC urged its members, media organisations, and the general public to disregard the publication in its entirety, warning against the spread of unverified information capable of causing confusion within the political space.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to due process and transparency, noting that any official decision concerning future electoral activities would be properly communicated through its recognised channels.

The clarification comes amid growing political discourse and early permutations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

A rumour that gained traction across social media and some online platforms had alleged that the APC had fixed exorbitant prices for its 2027 election nomination and expression of interest forms for aspirants seeking various political offices.

The widely circulated claim suggested that presidential aspirants would pay N200 million, governorship hopefuls N150 million, senatorial candidates N100 million, House of Representatives aspirants N70 million, and State House of Assembly hopefuls N20 million.

However, the ruling party firmly dismissed the report as false and misleading.
