Senator representing Kogi West, Sunday Karimi, has cautioned his supporters against making divisive or inflammatory comments on social media, urging them to promote unity and focus on strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of future elections.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the lawmaker also expressed appreciation to his supporters and members of the APC both within his constituency and across Nigeria, for their continued loyalty, prayers, and encouragement.
He said, “I want to take this opportunity to thank all my supporters and APC faithfuls in Kogi West in particular, as well as across Nigeria, for your unwavering love, prayers, and support up to this point.”
Senator Karimi further cautioned social media users to focus on constructive engagement and avoid inflammatory remarks that could undermine unity within the ruling party.
“Sincerely, I appeal to those of you who are active on social media to kindly refrain from making inflammatory statements that could sow division or discord within our party and among our leaders. Instead, let every post about me highlight my representation and achievements over the past three years serving our community.
Let’s work together to strengthen our community, party, and the APC, and avoid being swayed by sentiments that could cause unnecessary tension,” the lawmaker added.
He also referenced a recent engagement with the state leadership, describing it as productive and centered on strengthening party cohesion ahead of future elections.
“My recent meeting with the governor was very enlightening and underscored the importance of focusing on re-electing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in the upcoming general elections.”
Karimi concluded with renewed appreciation for his supporters, expressing optimism about the party’s future electoral success.
“Once again, I sincerely appreciate your support, and I am confident that with your continued backing, we will keep moving our community and our party forward.”
The senator reaffirmed his commitment to party unity and mobilization ahead of the next general elections under the banner of renewed hope.
