President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured Nigerians in the diaspora that the country’s economy is stabilising, with opportunities expanding and reforms yielding visible results.

He made the assurance during an interactive session with members of the Nigerian community in Japan on the sidelines of the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9).

Tinubu emphasized that his administration is committed to reversing negative trends and making Nigeria a land of prosperity for its citizens at home and abroad.

He encouraged Nigerians in the diaspora to return home and contribute to the country’s growth, noting that their input is crucial to achieving Nigeria’s developmental aspirations.

“We are seeing the beginning of Nigeria rising,” Tinubu said, adding that the government is working to create an environment where every citizen can feel the positive impact of change.

He urged Nigerians abroad to remain good ambassadors of their country and reflect positively on its image.

Other speakers at the event, including Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment John Enoh and Executive Vice Chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Khalil Halilu, highlighted the administration’s bold reforms and their potential to drive growth and development.

The interactive meeting ended with a renewed sense of partnership between the government and its citizens abroad, with President Tinubu reiterating his commitment to ensuring that every Nigerian has a role to play in the country’s progress.
