The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their overwhelming support during the recent by-elections conducted in 12 states across the country.
In a video posted on the ruling party’s X page, on Friday the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda and National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, in a joint statement attributed the massive votes cast for its candidates to a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The APC also extended its appreciation to state governors, members of the national and state assemblies, leaders, stakeholders, and patriotic Nigerians who participated in the electoral process.
The party assured Nigerians that President Tinubu remains committed to executing the party’s social contract and implementing multi-sectoral reforms in key areas such as the economy, security, infrastructure development, health, education, and more.
“With the continued support of Nigerians, the APC expressed confidence in achieving an overwhelming victory in the 2027 general elections, with the aim of consolidating gains and building a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria for all,” the statement added.
Recall that the APC won 12 seats, APGA clinched two seats, while the NNPP and PDP took one seat each, as the ADC failed to claim any seat in the just-concluded elections.
