Barely 24 hours after resigning his position as the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Aondona Dajoh, lost his elder brother, Elder Gwamile Dajoh to the cold hands of death.
According to a report by Daily Post, the lawmaker’s brother died on Sunday after he collapsed just hours after his brother tendered his resignation.
The late Elder Dajoh was said to have been deeply concerned over the political crisis in the House prior to his sudden passing.
Details surrounding the incident remain scarce at the time of filing this report.
Recall that the ex-Speaker, on Sunday, tendered a handwritten letter to step down from his position in the House.
Subsequently, the Assembly replaced Dajoh with Hon. Alfred Berger during an emergency plenary session that ended around 7:00 PM on Sunday.
