Former Nigeria Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, has claimed that Africa has over 1,000 terror groups existing in it.
While delivering his goodwill message at the ongoing Africa Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit, in Abuja, on Monday, Gambari that African militaries must strives to protect their individuals countries, them to their regions and collectively the entire continent.
The summit is themed, “Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa: The Role of Strategic Defence Collaboration.”
He emphasised that African countries must reinvigorate our defence industries and protect homegrown technologies and to prevent it from being control from outsiders.
