Actress and filmmaker, Titilola Ajayi, has disclosed that she featured popular singer, 9ice in her new movie because of his style of music.
“ 9ice is known for his indigenous style of music, and when you listen to him, it sometimes feels like he’s telling a story with his songs. His style of music inspired my reason to cast him in the movie. His style, persona, and authenticity aligned perfectly with what I envisioned for the role,” the movie star told Punch.
She continued, “He was really calm and very playful. I reached out to him like a normal actor, explained his character, and he said he could play the role. When it was time to deliver, he absolutely nailed it. His background in music contributed a fresh and relaxed energy, and he blended right in.”
Addressing the broader impact of 9ice’s involvement, Ajayi added, “I will say it’s entertainment, whether movie or music. He is a star and I believe involving him will play a positive role in the movie and also help with my brand visibility. His presence is sure to attract fans from both industries and create a richer viewing experience.”
