Angola’s waste agency announces 4th edition of Expo Recicla

The Angolan Ministry of Environment, through the National Waste Agency (ANR), has announced the 4th Edition of Expo Recicla, scheduled to take place on October 24 and 25, 2025, under the theme, ‘Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle for a More Sustainable Angola’.

More than an exhibition, Expo Recicla has evolved into a national platform for dialogue, education, and collaboration, reaffirming Angola’s commitment to sustainable environmental management and climate action.

The initiative aligns with the country’s obligations under the Paris Agreement and its dedication to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the 2030 Agenda.

Over the years, Angola has made significant progress in advancing the circular economy and implementing policies aimed at reducing its carbon footprint.

The government continues to prioritise the recovery and valorisation of urban solid waste, the efficient use of natural resources through reduction, reuse, and recycling, and the strengthening of environmental education and awareness as key tools for behavioural change.

In this context, Expo Recicla 2025 represents a strategic milestone in consolidating Angola’s vision of a resilient, green, and sustainable future.

The event will bring together policymakers, corporate leaders, experts, academics, students, community organisations, and international partners in a shared space for discussion and innovation.

Over two days, participants will engage in thematic conferences, high-level panels, and workshops on waste management, energy transition, innovation, and the circular economy.

Exhibitions will showcase cutting-edge solutions in recycling and environmental technologies, while interactive sessions will promote awareness and participation among schools and communities.

The event will also provide a platform for networking between national and international stakeholders, fostering partnerships and investments that advance sustainable waste management and green enterprise development in Angola.

Expo Recicla 2025 takes place at a pivotal moment as Angola intensifies its efforts toward economic diversification and sustainable growth.

Waste management and pollution control remain central to the government’s environmental agenda, underscoring its determination to build a cleaner, healthier, and more prosperous nation for present and future generations.
