Former Governor Of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla has officially resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His decision was stated in a letter he signed and addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward Kollere, Mubi-North, Local Government Area of the state on July 21, 2025.

The former governor noted that the decision to leave the party was not made lightly, but added that it was time for him to pursue other political and personal commitments that align with his present realities.

He wrote, I am grateful for the opportunities to contribute to the party’s vision and goals during my membership. My experience with the PDP has provided valuable insights towards grassroots mobilization and enhancing our democratic process.

“This decision has not been made lightly. While I deeply respect the party’s legacy, I feel it is time for me to pursue other political/personal commitments aligned with my current priorities.”

The letter was received and approved by the ward chairman, Adamu.
