Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the death of former Students’ Union Government Vice President of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Comr. Juwairriya Abdullahi Chindo, describing the incident as painful and tragic.

In a statement shared on Friday, Sani expressed sympathy with the deceased’s family, friends, and the university community over the loss.

“The death of young student leader Juwairriya Abdullahi Chindo is painful and heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, colleagues, and the entire university community during this difficult moment,” he said.

He urged authorities to ensure transparency regarding the circumstances surrounding her death amid allegations circulating on social media.

“Authorities concerned should ensure that the truth surrounding her death is established and made public in order to clear doubts and reassure the public,” Sani stated.

The former lawmaker also cautioned against spreading unverified claims online, noting that official confirmation should be awaited before conclusions are drawn.

“We must be careful not to spread unverified information capable of causing further distress to the grieving family. Facts must always guide public discourse,” he added.

ADUSTECH had earlier confirmed Chindo’s death in a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by Sen. Sani Mahamoud Tajo Gaya on behalf of Vice Chancellor Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai.

The university described the late student leader as dedicated and committed to student welfare during her service in the 2024/2025 Sen. Jawad-led Students’ Union Government administration.
