Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has said the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Progressive Governors’ Forum for a second term was driven by the administration’s economic reforms and achievements under the Renewed Hope agenda.
Uzodimma stated this on Friday while commenting on the submission of Tinubu’s nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2027 presidential election at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
According to him, the support of governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress reflects growing confidence in the President’s leadership and policy direction.
“The endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Progressive Governors’ Forum for a second term was born out of the impactful economic reforms of his Renewed Hope administration, which have continued to reposition our nation for sustainable growth and national development,” he said.
The governor noted that he attended the event alongside other party leaders, where Vice President Kashim Shettima represented the President.
“As we joined him at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, ably represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, for the submission of the nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2027 presidential election, it was evident that the administration’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria remains steadfast and widely embraced,” Uzodimma stated.
He said Tinubu’s government had made significant progress in key sectors of the economy and governance.
“Mr President has delivered greatly in the transformation of our dear nation across critical sectors, including infrastructure, economic revitalisation, security, and human capital development,” he said.
Uzodimma added that continued support for the administration was necessary to sustain its reforms and long-term development goals.
“It is, therefore, imperative that we continue to support him in advancing the progressive ideals of the Renewed Hope agenda for the benefit of all Nigerians,” he added.
