Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, has pledged to leverage his political experience and wide network of contacts to advance the interests of Delta Central Senatorial District if elected to the Senate.
Omo-Agege, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, said he was bringing into the race a wealth of experience in mobilisation for the creation of a just, equitable, democratic and egalitarian society.
He noted that his years in public service had provided him with extensive political, social and professional relationships across Nigeria and beyond.
The former lawmaker said the network would serve as a major asset in delivering on his agenda for the people of Delta Central, stressing that he remained committed to fulfilling his promises to constituents and contributing to national development.
He also promised to work with like-minded lawmakers in the National Assembly to sponsor practical and effective bills that would protect the interests of his people and Nigerians at large.
According to him, priority areas of focus would include mobilising resources for industrialisation in Delta Central, youth manpower development, and provision of facilities and services targeted at women and the elderly.
