President Bola Tinubu has formally obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination and expression of interest forms, signalling his entry into the party’s internal selection process ahead of upcoming elections.
The forms were collected on Tuesday at the Abuja Continental Hotel, where the APC commenced the official sale and distribution of nomination documents to aspirants seeking elective positions under its platform.
At the event, the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, announced the commencement of the exercise and formally handed over the presidential nomination documents to Hon. James Faleke, who represented the President.
Tinubu’s procurement of the forms marks a significant early step in the party’s electoral timetable and is expected to usher in a more active phase of political engagement within the ruling party as other contenders begin to emerge.
Party officials explained that the process is designed to provide a structured avenue for interested members to formally declare their intentions to contest under the APC banner in the next general election cycle.
With the exercise now underway, political activity within the party is expected to intensify in the coming days as aspirants across various offices position themselves and begin consultations ahead of the primaries.
