BREAKING: Renowned Business Mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata is Dead.

Renowned Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata has passed away at the age of 94, according to a social media post by Uba Tanko Mijinyawa, Deputy National Treasurer of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

The news of Dantata’s death was announced via a social media post, with Mijinyawa noting that details of the late Dantata’s Muslim funeral prayer (Jana’iza) will be announced in due course.

“Inna Lillahi wa’inna ilaihi Raji’un. Allah ya yi wa babanmu Dattijo, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, rasuwa. Muna addu’a Allah ya jikan sa, ya gafarta masa. Za a sanar da lokacin jana’izarsa,” Mijinyawa’s post read, translating to “Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. May Allah have mercy on our father and elder, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata. We pray for his forgiveness. The time of his funeral will be announced.”

INCNews247 reports that Dantata was a prominent businessman and elder statesman in Northern Nigeria, known for his business ventures in real estate, petroleum, and finance.


He was also involved in philanthropic activities, particularly education and youth development.

Born on May 19, 1931, Dantata had expressed that he no longer enjoyed life and was waiting for his time, hoping to depart this world in good faith, as he told Vice President Kashim Shettima and others on several occasions.
