Simon Ekpa: Reno Omokri faults Obi’s silence

Former presidential spokesperson, Reno Omokri, has blasted former Anambra governor, Peter Obi, over his silence following the conviction of the self-acclaimed leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa.

Recall that some public figures on Monday hailed the Finnish government for jailing Ekpa for terrorism related crimes.

In a post he made on X on Tuesday, Omokri, described Obi as hypocritical, noting that he would have reacted to the conviction if it did not involve someone from the Southeast.

“24 hours later, Peter Obi has still not said anything about Simon Ekpa’s arrest, trial, or conviction. This is the same man who called for the arrest, trial, and imprisonment of King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, AKA K1 De Ultimate, after the ValueJet incident.

“That is Peter Obi’s justice: Arrest a musician from the Southwest, protect a terrorist from the Southeast!” Omokri stated.
