Simon Ekpa will be deported to serve jail term in Nigeria, says Igbokwe

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has said that the convicted leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa, will be deported to Nigeria to serve jail term for terrorism after spending six years in a Finnish jail.

The Anambra-born politician celebrated the conviction of the Biafra agitator, blaming him for various atrocities committed by the proscribed group in the South East, including the razing of Igbokwe’s house.

Reacting on Facebook, the APC chieftain asserted that the “most interesting part of the judgment is Simon Ekpa will be deported after serving six years in a Finnish prison to face terrorism charges in Nigeria.”

Igbokwe vowed that the “pains of what we lost in the South East in 10 years will go round,” stressing that the “findings and those involved will shock the world.”

“My own prayer is to see face to face and know the people that invaded the CITY OF DAVID Nnewi on October 3, 2021, and set it on fire all in the name of the non-existing Biafraud nonsense,” he added.

Recall that a District Court in Finland on Monday sentenced Ekpa to six years in prison over terrorism-related crimes.

The development has generated reactions, with several stakeholders hailing the judgment and alleging that Ekpa was responsible for the unending unrest in the South East.
