Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has issued a public disclaimer warning against the unauthorised use of his image in online advertisements.

“I am aware that many individuals and organisations use AI-generated images of me to advertise various products online,” Obi said in a post via his X account on Saturday.

He added, “This unauthorised use of my image has gone on blatantly lately.”

The former Anambra governor expressed concern that some unscrupulous persons have exploited such images to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

“For this reason, I wish to state categorically that I am not associated with any of these advertisements,” the former presidential candidate declared.

Furthermore, Obi urged the public to exercise vigilance and disregard any ads linking him to products, endorsements, or business schemes.

“I remain committed to promoting transparency, integrity, and ventures that genuinely advance the common good of our society,” he added.
