The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has paid a glowing tribute to Borno State, hailing its people as the epitome of resilience in the face of adversity.

Idris stated this when he and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to the deputy governor of the state, Umar Kadafur, on Wednesday in Maiduguri, the state capital.

The courtesy visit was part of the activities for the APC Commissioners of Information Forum meeting.

The state’s unwavering determination to overcome the challenges posed by the insurgency has earned it a reputation as Nigeria’s most resilient state.

According to Idris, the people of Borno have demonstrated remarkable steadfastness and ability to bounce back from difficult situations, showcasing the strength and staying power that Nigerians are imbued with.

“Borno State is clearly Nigeria’s most resilient state, against the backdrop of the severe challenges it has experienced in the last decade.

“The people of Borno must indeed be praised by all Nigerians for their steadfastness and their ability to always bounce back from difficult situations.

“The people of Borno State symbolise the strength and the staying power that Nigerians are imbued with.

“Therefore, it is appropriate for all other Nigerians to not only praise the citizens of Borno but also speak proudly of their ability to overcome challenges,” Idris said.

As the state prepares to host a quarterly strategic meeting of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) with the Commissioners of Information of APC-governed states, the theme “GGN-PGF Synergy 2025: One Message, One Future” takes on a special significance.

The meeting aims to foster synergy and collaboration among APC-governed states, and Borno’s resilience serves as a shining example of the power of unity and determination.

The Minister’s praise for Borno State is a reminder that even in the face of adversity, the Nigerian people can overcome any challenge.
