Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated four graduates of Osun State University who emerged with First Class honours in the final Bar Examination of the Nigerian Law School, describing the feat as another moment of pride for the state.
In a statement posted on his official X handle on Friday, Adeleke said the achievement by the students reflected the growing standard of academic excellence at the state-owned institution and justified his administration’s continued investment in the education sector.
The governor named the outstanding graduates as Adeniyi Faith Oluwaseun, Rotimi Boluwatife Blessing, Aliri Chisom Joan, and Alalade Hannah Timilehin.
He said, “I am delighted to congratulate four outstanding students of Osun State University who graduated with First Class honours in the final Bar Examination of the Nigerian Law School.”
Adeleke noted that the success recorded by the students was not accidental, adding that it was evidence of deliberate efforts by his administration to improve learning conditions and provide modern infrastructure across institutions in the state.
“This remarkable achievement is a strong testament to the impact of our sustained investments in educational infrastructure and an enabling learning environment,” he said.
The governor highlighted some of the interventions carried out by his government at the university’s College of Law in Ifetedo, including the reconstruction of the road leading to the campus and the construction of a new lecture theatre.
“From the reconstruction of the previously abandoned road leading to the College of Law, Ifetedo, to the construction of a modern 1,000-capacity lecture theatre complex, we remain committed to supporting academic excellence,” Adeleke added.
He further congratulated the management of the university, staff of the College of Law, and residents of the state for what he described as a collective success.
“I congratulate the students, the College of Law, the management of Osun State University, and the good people of Osun State on this proud milestone,” the governor stated.
Adeleke reaffirmed confidence in the state’s progress, declaring that the latest achievement was another sign of positive development in Osun.
“Indeed, Osun is progressing,” he said.
The development has drawn commendation from stakeholders in the education sector, with many describing the success of the students as a boost to the reputation of Osun State University and a reflection of the institution’s rising profile in legal education.
