The Nigerian Defence Academy on Thursday disclosed that it will carry out a live firing drill involving cadets of its 76 Regular Course, according to an official statement.

The academy stated that the exercise is scheduled to hold between April 23 and April 25 at its Open Range located in Afaka. It noted that the operation will include both daytime and nighttime firing sessions.

Residents of Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya, and surrounding communities in the Afaka area were assured that comprehensive safety precautions have been put in place to guarantee a safe and orderly exercise.

However, the statement cautioned members of the public to stay clear of the designated range and refrain from entering the area during the exercise period.

It also called for full cooperation from residents, urging them to comply strictly with all safety directives issued by the academy.
