Only weak men keep malice with wives – Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has advised married men against keeping malice with their wives, stressing that communication remains one of the most important foundations of a successful marriage.

In a post shared on his X handle on Friday, the actor urged men to embrace honest conversations with their spouses whenever disagreements arise instead of avoiding difficult discussions.

According to him, as heads of their homes, men should always seek peaceful ways to resolve conflicts through dialogue and understanding.

Edochie noted that misunderstandings in marriage could stem from the actions of either partner, adding that open communication was necessary to identify the root cause of issues and resolve them amicably.

The actor stated that men should have one-on-one conversations with their wives, express their feelings clearly and work together to settle disputes rather than allowing resentment to grow.

He further argued that avoiding difficult conversations was a sign of weakness, insisting that “real men” confront issues directly regardless of how uncomfortable such discussions may be.

“Men, don’t keep malice with your wife. You’re the head of your home. No matter what your wife does to you, have a one-on-one conversation with her about it, tell her your mind and iron things out,” he wrote.

“It might be her fault or she could be reacting to something you did to her. You can only find out when you communicate.

“Weak men avoid difficult conversations. Real men discuss issues no matter how tough they are. Communication is highly essential in marriage,” he added.

The post has since generated reactions on social media, with many users engaging in conversations around conflict resolution, communication and responsibilities within marriage.
