The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results that were previously withheld for investigation over alleged examination malpractice.
The Board’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday.
Benjamin said the release followed ongoing investigations into cases of suspected examination malpractice, noting that while some results had been cancelled after evidence of wrongdoing was established, others were cleared and released after no prima facie case was found against the affected candidates.
He explained that results from centres where JAMB’s live monitoring team detected suspicious activities, or where adverse reports were received, would remain withheld pending the conclusion of investigations.
According to him, any result linked to confirmed malpractice would be cancelled by the Board.
The statement advised candidates whose results were still pending to check their status by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
Benjamin reiterated JAMB’s commitment to maintaining the integrity and credibility of its examination process.
